Why Choose Park Tennis USA?

What makes our clinics and summer camps unique?

Simple! Our core philosophy is to give kids the joy of rallying and playing tennis just like adults within weeks, using balls, rackets and court sizes appropriate for their age and skill level! Park Tennis USA’s FastStart curriculum rapidly advances a child from simply hitting a tennis ball to rallying and playing points!

The goal for our kids is to develop and reinforce adult stroke technique and rallying skills they will retain through their junior careers and adult life. What makes this possible is our FastStart Evolution, which carefully calibrates the type of racket and ball the child is using based upon age, size and skill level.

The balls are lighter and less bouncy, so an 8 year old who is 4ft tall and 50 lbs can apply the same swing as Maria Sharapova at 6ft!

How we differ from Traditional Summer Tennis Camps and Programs.

Are you frustrated that you have sent your child to summer camp year after year and while they’ve been having fun, they don’t seem to be really improving?

The problem is the majority of summer tennis clubs and camps are still using regular tennis balls for kids aged 5-11, which are too heavy for junior rackets, prevent the development of “adult swings”, and limit rallying ability. These children are forced to create “compensatory swings” to hit balls high over their shoulders; strokes they will be forced to “re-learn” as they become teenagers. Secondly, their ability to rally and learn to play matches is limited, as unless balls are fed by a teaching professional, they bounce too high to sustain meaningful rallies.

Park Tennis USA: Proud Supporter of the USTA’s QuickStart Program

Since it’s inception in 2005, Park Tennis USA has embraced the concept of age appropriate tennis equipment, balls and court lengths first created by the Europeans a decade ago and used by both Roger Federer and Justine Henin-Hardene as youngsters. In 2007, the USTA’s High Performance Division and both national teaching organizations, the USPTR and USPTA, embraced this concept and called it QuickStart Tennis. Park Tennis USA is a proud supporter of the QuickStart Tennis Concept.
